The Earth Day Parade & Celebration is an annual event organized by youth for all citizens of Vancouver (or anywhere else!) intent on showing concern and taking action upon the increasingly dire global situation surrounding climate change and its various social impacts, or we like to call it, climate justice. This year Youth for Climate Justice Now is taking action by gathering 10,000 signatures to oppose the development of all Tar Sands projects and to voice support for a ban on crude oil tankers off the coast of BC. On Sunday, April 22nd, 2012,  the organization is hoping to host a fun day of inspiration, learning, and action with a variety of information booths, entertainment, and speakers.
